What is a bio-ethanol fireplace and what are the types of bio-ethanol fireplaces?

Do you dream of having your own fireplace at home? Then you no longer have to worry about permits or installation problems. You can't go wrong with bio-ethanol fireplaces, it is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to create their own live fire setup in a simple and safe way. In the article we explain what a bio-ethanol fireplace is and what types of bio-ethanol fireplaces there are.

What is a bio-ethanol fireplace?

A bio-ethanol fireplace is an alternative to traditional fireplaces. Unlike classic fireplaces, bioethanol fireplaces can be installed in any house, and even in an apartment in an apartment building, because they do not require smoke extraction outside the building. That is why you do not need permission to install a bio-ethanol fireplace in your home. Biological fireplaces are most often installed in living rooms, in semi-open spaces (e.g. a living room with kitchen, a living room with a dining room), but are also increasingly common in bedrooms, bathrooms or even halls.

The fuel used for bioethanol fireplaces is a special liquid or gel biofuel. This is used to light fires in bioethanol fireplaces, which is burned into steam and is not only made completely ecologically from plant material, but it can also have a positive impact on the health of the household by changing the air in the room to moisten.

The combustion time of a bio-ethanol fireplace depends, among other things, on the size of the flame. However, it is estimated that 1 liter of fuel will last approximately 2-3 hours. There are several types of bioethanol fireplaces on the market that perfectly match the interior design of any apartment and meet the most demanding customer expectations. In terms of installation method, bioethanol fireplaces can be divided into: built-in bioethanol fireplaces (including corner biofireplaces), freestanding bioethanol fireplaces, hanging bioethanol fireplaces. Particularly popular are built-in bio-ethanol fireplaces that can be integrated into a niche. Such a bio-ethanol fireplace perfectly replaces the traditional fireplace and creates an unusual atmosphere in the room.

The insert can be built in any way (it only requires that the materials are fire resistant) and can be adapted to any style of arrangement. Corner bio-ethanol fireplaces or bio-ethanol fireplaces that are open from two or three sides look great in modern or industrial interiors. In more traditional setups, horizontal bioethanol fireplaces are usually used, i.e. it is open on one side (from the front).
